CLIENT PROFILE

EDFA (Eating Disorders Families Australia) is the only national organisation providing support, education, advocacy, and counselling solely for carers and families impacted by an eating disorder. It is an organisation very close to my heart.

OUR PROJECT

Create a visual story depicting the struggles of caring for a loved one, to engage the audience through relatability and vulnerability. These posters were made for screen, used primarily on social media and billboard campaigns to spread awareness of the charity and their work.

STRATEGY + EXECUTION

Marketing Channels: Outdoor advertising, Instagram, Facebook, online awareness efforts, community outreach.

I created a thought-provoking visual campaign designed with the intent of being shared within support groups, healthcare settings, and educational institutions. The aim is to raise awareness and reduce stigma by shifting the conversation away from food and numbers, instead highlighting the emotional and social challenges faced by those affected.

The posters with images of hands are a subtle yet powerful way to convey emotional distress - shifting focus to less visible signs of struggle like body language, tension, and nervous habits (e.g. nail biting).

Integrated modern, digital language (“we won’t leave you on read,” “reach out to us”) to connect with a younger audience and emphasise the text-based support service EDFA offer.
